Helicopters are being prepared to take off from Zhezkazgan shortly to be in place over the landing site when #Soyuz arrives. The Soyuz recovery fleet is comprised of off-road vehicles, 6 all-terrain vehicles, 12 helicopters & two Antonov aircraft.

#Soyuz has begun the depressurization of its Orbital Module to avoid an explosive release of air when the module is separated once the vehicle passes 140km in altitude. The Soyuz crew members have closed their helmets and switched to suit air.
