Увеличенный (полноразмерный ?) Раптор сейчас находится в процессе производства.

ЦитироватьWe are currently building a larger raptor right now, and currently have a scaled version of raptor on the test stands.

  • She said that they had fired scaled Raptor (known) and that they were building the larger version right now.
She very specifically did NOT say that they were building the larger version now. There was zero mention of a larger Raptor.

А ему ответили :)

ЦитироватьYou are incorrect. I was also there and she most definitely DID say they are building the larger version now.

If you squint at this chart, you can see ongoing and planned test activity at Stennis by Aerojet Rocketdyne, Relativity, Stratolaunch and SpaceX, among others.

ЦитироватьI noticed two satellite images of the Raptor test stand at SpaceX's McGregor test facility, which were posted by user Hitech at the nasaspaceflight forum.
I went back to google maps to see if there was a more recent image. There wasn't, but I could get a higher zoom level. I made screenshots at max zoom and stitched them together.
The first is from 28/01/17 and the second from 23/01/18, so a year apart. I have also included a gif to better show the change:
imgur.com/a/tlqwxEe
Besides the significant expansion of the test stand and increased activity, you can clearly see that the western test cell is being fitted out. This confirms the statement from Mueller:
"We're building up the test stand right now. We've got the first flight version of that engine in work."
Some users have wondered what "flight version of that engine in work" means. Is it still being designed or is it being build?
Given this evidence, I would say that it is being build so as to be ready simultaneously with the test stand for tests. Taking into account the activity at the stand (notice the number of cars parked) and the stated intention of making BFS hops next year, I would even conclude that it is likely that tests of the flight version will happen this year.

ЦитироватьHere is a newer, much higher quality pic from April. Appears to be an engine on the stand there too.

I heard new alloys...I'm interested! What types of alloys are you currently using on the rocket?

SX 300 & soon SX 500. Kind of a modern version of Inconel superalloys. High strength at temperature, extreme oxidation resistance. Needed for ~800 atmosphere, hot, oxygen-rich turbopump on Raptor rocket engine.
