This is the impact of a ~1600 satellite @SpaceX #Starlink constellation for a location at latitude 52 degrees. At any time, about 84 satellites would be above the horizon. During twilight and the entire summer, up to 15 of those visible (sunlit and above 30 degree altitude).

26 мая

These plots assume 53 degree inclined orbits at 550 km altitude, with 24 evenly spaced orbital planes, each having 66 #Starlink satellites. The total constellation would have 1584 objects. This is the initial @SpaceX plan for #Starlink.

26 мая

At 52 degree latitude, these 550 km orbits are illuminated throughout the night from May to mid-August. During those summer nights #Starlink satellites will be visible all the time.

26 мая

But even in the spring, autumn and winter, around half a dozen #Starlink satellites will be visible at anytime upto 3 hours before sunrise and 3 hours after sunset. Depending on how bright they end up being, this will have a drastic impact on the character of the night sky.

26 мая

For locations at lower latitudes, the situation is only slightly better. At 34 degree latitude, say Los Angeles, up to 10 #Starlink satellites will be visible during twilight. At those latitudes the satellites will be invisible for only 4 hours in typical a summers night.

26 мая

It's unclear what this would mean for a 12000 satellites, as the details of their orbits are not known. A rough guess would be to multiply these numbers by a factor of 7 (12000/1600). So around 70 to 100 satellites visible during twilight at any time and any location!

26 мая

... Here's a plot for the case of 7500 @SpaceX #Starlink satellites at 340 km altitude. Here, I assumed 75 orbital planes with 100 satellites each. There'll be around 40 sunlit and above 30 degrees elevation at any time during twilight.

Не так уж и много.

Вы перепутали альбедо и звёздную величину. И сейчас уже пишут про пятую.

Peak 15 degrees from zenith. 3 5-second exposures within 30-second period, shows consistent locations of flares and short duration; Arcturus at bottom of frame. Last frame: non flaring ones, some in binoculars as faint as magnitude ~7. #Starlink

OCISLY is now targeting an arrival later into this morning, stretching up to midday. Extra time looks to be required to reinstate the dockside equipment after it was moved yesterday to let a cruise ship dock. GO Quest arrived in Port Canaveral a few hours ago.

Starlink is in the sky and Falcon 9 1049 back to Port Canaveral after boosting the heaviest payload yet. This one is quite dark from 3 flights and landings. SpaceX launch, land and relaunch is on point lately. (Mr.Steven netted up too) #spacex #falcon9 #starlink @Teslarati

@octagrabber doing its job on hanging on to a near perfect landing on @OCISLYDroneship back into port today.

My best shot of #Starlink from 27 May 2019 at 01:47 BST passing Lyra. Shot taken with Canon 600D at f/3.5, 20s exp, ISO-1600, 18mm FL. Most of the satellites seemed to be mag 3-4 with some brighter members mag 2. @VirtualAstro @skyatnightmag #astronomy #Astrophotography #Space

SpaceX are not attempting to retract the landing legs on B1049.3. Recovery technicians are currently removing them from the booster.

B1049.3 is legless. The horror! It seems they are taking prior leg retraction experience and refining the cap design. As of my arrival at 3 pm. All legs were removed. #SpaceXFleet

According to the data available on r/SpaceX... the record time from OCISLY being docked to a booster going horizontal is ~41 hours (Merah Putih). B1049.3 has smashed that record at only ~29 hours!
