Life at the Lab: Astronaut Emergency Exit

NASA Langley Research Center

Опубликовано: 28 июн. 2019 г.

NASA Langley researchers are developing the next generation of space technology. In this episode, we explore Orion's Launch Abort System, or LAS, that’s designed to keep astronauts safe during the launch of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket. A key LAS researcher speaks fr om the control room of an active wind tunnel wh ere we’re testing SLS.

NASA will put LAS under a full-stress test on July 2 called Ascent Abort Test 2 (AA-2) to qualify it for spaceflight.
