Dragon holding at 250 meters
SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft has arrived at a hold point 250 meters, or 820 feet, from the space station. The visiting cargo freighter has established a two-way UHF communications link with the space station.
Astronauts Thomas Pesquet and Shane Kimbrough are inside the space station's cupola module tracking Dragon's final approach.
The timeline calls for Dragon to hold at this point for about 15 minutes.

The Dragon spacecraft has resumed its approach from the 250-meter (820-foot) hold point a few minutes early, heading for the next waypoint 30 meters (98 feet) from the International Space Station.

It should take about 30 minutes for Dragon to reach its next hold point, using laser navigation sensors and thermal imagers for autonomous guidance.

NASA says the Dragon spacecraft is running 8 or 9 minutes ahead of the timeline, so grapple by the station robotic arm could occur a few minutes before the scheduled time of 6 a.m. EST (1100 GMT).

The Dragon capsule is now inside the keep-out sphere, an imaginary 200-meter (656-foot) bubble around the space station. Space station commander Shane Kimbrough will be in charge of sending the Dragon capsule away from the complex if a problem occurs from this point on in the rendezvous sequence.
