GaoJing (SuperView) is the proposed Chinese high resolution (GSD <= 0.5m) commercial remote sensing satellite constellation to be built by CASC. It will consist of more than 24 satellites and the first one will be launched by the end of 2016. http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=38741.0
It operates at an altitude of 500 km and provides imagery with 0.5 m panchromatic resolution and 2 m multispectral resolution. The swath width is 12 km and the descending node time is 10:30 am. It possesses high agility and runs with multiple collection modes including long strip, multiple strips collect, multiple point targets collect and stereo imaging. The maximum single scene can be 60 km × 70 km. http://space.skyrocket.de/doc_sdat/gaojing-1.htm

SuperView's Debut for Chinese Users

ЦитироватьOn 25 November, SuperView -1 01/02 arrived at Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, waiting for 26 December, Big Day for launch. Since they are the first Commercial Made-in-China VHR satellites, all its gestures volumes to all the users and industry stakeholders in China.

SuperView's operator, investor and builder jointly invited the potential satellite data users to have a close look at the satellites in the storage house in the afternoon on 22 November. All these visitors were industry bosses, and they showed keen interests in the beneficial potentials.

The three sides held an explanation meeting for the visitors. At this meeting, Mr. Xie Bin, deputy chief designer showed the guests around the two satellites and introduced the technical specifications. He said: "SuperView-1 employs the CAST3000B bus and a PAN&MS camera to collect images with 0.5 m in panchromatic and 2 m in multispectral bands. Compared to existing imaging satellites in China, it shows a significant advantage on its agility and locational accuracy. The first two satellites (SuperView-1 01/02) will be launched on 26 December 2016 and the next two will be launched in second half year of 2017."

At this meeting, Lily Xu, CEO of the operator said: "Different from all the Chinese EO satellites launched in the past decade, our SuperView services will be totally commercial, and we will customize data collection services and develop derived products based on marketing demands."

About SuperView
SuperView Constellation is formed of 16 0.5 m optical satellites, 4 better performed optical satellites, 4 VHR SAR satellites, and a fleet of hyperspectral and video satellites. The first two 0.5 m satellites (SuperView-1 01/02) will be launched by CZ-2D on 26 December 2016, and the next 2 will be launched to the same orbit in the second half year of 2017. And the full construction of SuperView constellation will be completed by 2022.

The Stakeholding Companies
Beijing Space View Technology Co., Ltd. is the operator, China Siwei Surveying and Mapping Technology Co., Ltd. is the investor, and China Spacesat Co., Ltd. is the builder of SuperView Constellation.

A: 97.58°, 216x528 km, 91.98 min
B: 97.59°, 215x529 km, 91.98 min
C: 97.59°, 215x528 km, 91.97 min
