В ЦПК прошли «дни прессы» для представителей канадских СМИ

Всегда интересно узнавать, как проходит подготовка космонавтов и астронавтов к столь ответственному заданию, как полёт на международную космическую станцию. Человек, отправляющийся в орбитальную командировку, должен быть не только абсолютно здоровым и обладать способностью переносить значительные нагрузки, но и знать досконально, какое оборудование за что отвечает, уметь вовремя распознать нештатную ситуацию и в короткие сроки парировать её развитие выполнением определенных действий, которые члены экипажа отрабатывают на тренировках до автоматизма.

На этой неделе Центр подготовки космонавтов имени Ю.А. Гагарина гостеприимно распахнул двери для представителей канадских СМИ. Информационные мероприятия, организованные совместно ЦПК и ККА, были посвящены подготовке экипажа МКС-58/59, в состав которого входят космонавт Роскосмоса Олег Кононенко, астронавт Канадского космического агентства Давид Сен-Жак и астронавт НАСА Энн МакКлейн.

В течение двух дней у представителей СМИ Канады была замечательная возможность ознакомиться с реальными занятиями экипажа, чей полет запланирован на декабрь 2018 года.

Знакомство с космической подготовкой на Земле началось с тренировки по ручному управляемому спуску, в ходе которой канадский астронавт Давид Сен-Жак продемонстрировал навыки управления корабля с орбиты в ручном режиме. Далее для журналистов была проведена имитация тренировки на тренажёре ЦФ-7. Представители СМИ провели съемки в пультовой центрифуги, а также получили исчерпывающие комментарии специалиста ЦПК по ее назначению.

Покорители космоса должны быть готовы ко всему, даже к оказанию медицинской помощи друг другу вдали от Земли. Поэтому занятия по изучению медицинских укладок - сумок с медикаментами, которые находятся как на борту транспортного пилотируемого корабля, так и на самой станции – входят в программу подготовки каждого космонавта и астронавта.

Представители канадских СМИ полностью погрузились в рабочие будни экипажа, побывав на «аварийной тренировке», в ходе которой командир и бортинженеры отработали действия при выбросе аммиака в атмосферу станции, а также провели «срочный спуск» в ТПК «Союз» на Землю.

На каждом этапе тренировок инструкторы и специалисты Центра давали подробные разъяснения о работе тренажёров и самих занятиях, так что у журналистов к завершению «дней канадской прессы» сформировалось полномасштабное представление о специфике подготовки космонавтов и астронавтов в ЦПК.

Для представителей Канадского космического агентства и СМИ Канады мероприятия подобного рода являются важной частью подготовки их астронавта, ведь «День прессы» – это замечательная возможность увидеть кропотливую работу будущих покорителей космоса.

This mission patch was designed for the first space flight of Canadian Space Agency astronaut David Saint Jacques. 

The image represents the power of dreams and evokes the role of space exploration in our evolving perspective of life on Earth. The North Star (dreams) and compass rose (reason) have always guided explorers. These form the central element of the patch. The trail of the star is composed of four colours, signifying pillars of innovation: red (energy and passion), orange (creativity), white (science) and blue (international collaboration). The four stars surrounding the North Star symbolize all those who pool their talents in support of this mission. Earth figures prominently on the patch. Транспортный пилотируемый корабль (ТПК) «Союз МС-11» доставлен на космодром  Байконур. Специалисты РКК «Энергия» и КЦ «Южный» выгрузили космический корабль из вагона и установили на специальную подставку. 30 августа, после выполненных операций по входному контролю, принято решение приступить к консервации «Союза МС-11».

В режиме хранения пилотируемый корабль будет находиться до начала подготовки к пуску. Запуск ТПК «Союз МС-11» к Международной космической станции (МКС) намечен на конец года.

NASA astronaut Anne McClain, along with her crewmates, David Saint-Jacques of the Canadian Space Agency and Oleg Kononenko of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, will discuss their upcoming mission to the International Space Station in a news conference at 2 p.m. EDT Thursday, Sept. 6, at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.

The news conference will be broadcast live on NASA Television and on the agency's website. The crew will be available afterward for in-person and remote media interviews.

The crew is scheduled to launch Dec. 20 aboard the Soyuz MS-11 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

McClain, Saint-Jacques and Kononenko will join the station's Expedition 58 crew and will return to Earth in June 2019 as members of Expedition 59. This will be the first spaceflight for both McClain and Saint-Jacques. Kononenko will be making his fourth trip to the space station and will serve as the commander of Expedition 59.

During a planned six-month mission, the crew will facilitate about 250 research investigations and technology demonstrations not possible on Earth to advance scientific knowledge of Earth, space, physical and biological sciences. Among them, McClain is expected to take part in one of the first Tissues on Chips investigation, which will launch to the orbiting laboratory this fall aboard a SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft. The experiment will use miniature models of living organ tissues on transparent microchips to replicate the complex biological functions of specific organs, thus enabling studies of the effects of reduced gravity on organs at the cell and tissue levels.

Science conducted on the space station continues to yield benefits for humanity and will enable future long-duration human and robotic exploration into deep space, including the Moon and Mars.

The crew also is scheduled to be in space during one of the uncrewed test flights of NASA's Commercial Crew Program, which will resume human spaceflight launches from U.S. soil.

McClain, a native of Spokane, Washington, is a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army. As a senior army aviator, she has logged more than 2,000 hours in 20 different rotary and fixed-wing aircraft.

She earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical and aeronautical engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. She earned a master's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Bath, in England, and a master's degree in international relations from the University of Bristol, also in England.
